Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in film and TV is best known for films like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had been offered a variety of television roles including the lead role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was both critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the beautiful diva. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous noteworthy projects both domestically and internationally. These comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she has been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as The Cannes Film Festival.
